Book Review

 Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been working on book reviews and finishing task we also had to do some fast finishers task each weeks after we finished task we are trying to work at a year 8/9 level. A couple of weeks before we done the book review we had to write something about why we shouldn't fight and some people lost some point because they didn't have paragraphs or anything else. 

The author of my book is Rodman Philbrick and the book is called Freak the Mighty I chose this book because I had never read the book and then it got interesting after that I had done all of the task and they were easy. The book was good even tho it was kinda boring or was still happy when I got to the end my favourite part from the book was when he got trapped and then he couldn't get out but it was sad. The characters were Freak, Max if someone wanted to read this book I would let them because its interesting and it will help them get better.

Bullies

 Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing drama and today were doing a script it was called bullying I was the adult and I was working with James, Alex, Gregory and Kayden it was easy after that we done the script someone in his family had dies and then after he told someone and then they went around school telling everyone please leave a comment on my blog on what I could do better next time.

Speech Writing

 Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been working on speech writing I was working with Ashton, Diago, James and then we added someone into our group his name was Gregory. Speaking was hard because I get nervous when I speak because if you were speaking to public you would be a bit scared because you might think you sound bad but they might think differently. These are the questions please leave a comment on my blog on what I could do better next time. 

What was something you enjoyed about this speech? I enjoyed writing about the speech because if someone you wants to smoke I could help other people try not to but in the end it is there decision. 

When were you challenged, or felt the 'fixed mindset' of "I can do this"? I was challenged when I was speaking because I get scared because I think I sound bad but other people might not.

How did you overcome it? I overcame it by listening to everyone else before me so I wasn't nervous and then when It was my turn I was happy.  

What did you learn about yourself as a public speaker or presenter? I thought I did good because I actually did the task and then I walked away proud.

In your own words, explain what is the purpose of persuasive writing.

The purpose of persuasive writing is to convince or persuade the reader.

Gymnastics

 Hello my name is Jesse and today we were doing gymnastics.  Before we done gymnastics we had to do a blog, the blog was easy. My favourite part is the trampoline because I can do flips and then there is the mini trampoline. We had to do some task and they were Front flip, Back flip something I learned was not to be silly because someone hurt them self.  Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing the novel Freak the Mighty and I had read the whole book so we had to work on the fast finishers task the task was to make a letter for the author and the author was Rodman Philbrick Freak the Mighty is the most popular children book. Dear Mr Rodman Philbrick,

My name is Jesse and I am from Hornby High School. When I first read your book it was very interesting. I just wanted to just carry on reading the book. It was the first time I had ever read one of your books. The book was called Freak The Mighty and there were a lot of characters. I have a question: why did you decide to start making books even though you could have had another job? What do you like about your job? The reason I wanted to carry on reading was because it was interesting and the character’s were good and all together the story was just interesting because they went to the tunnel and someone had kidnapped freak and he was getting hot because he was in a room and there was a fan.
