Holiday Task

Hello readers for the last couple of days we have been working on holiday task with Miss Birtch I chose to do the where would I rather live the chose was Burkina Faso or Verkhoyansk and we had to do some research about the country. These are some facts about Burkina Faso. Burkina Faso is situated on an extensive plateau, which is slightly inclined toward the south.A  mountainous area interspersed with broad plateaus and broken by river and coastal lowlands. So as you see I would rather choose Burkina Faso. Please leave a comment on my blog on what I could do better next time. Thank you.cdn.webshopapp.com/shops/94414/files/52303074/f...

The Design Process

Hello everyone. For the last couple of weeks in Home Economics we have been doing Baking and we had to make a recipe for our stakeholder. We worked through the Design Process.

I was working with Quaiden and our stakeholder was one of the teachers. We made her Anzac Biscuits.
I did all of the shopping list and I found all of the ingredients off the Countdown Website. Our recipe took 10 Minutes prep time and 20 Minutes to cook. We wrote on our recipe for our time management plan.
My task was to do the costings. I also done the time management plan.

Anzac Biscuits

10 Min prep time

½ cup Flour

⅓ cup Sugar

⅔ cups coconut

¾ cup oats

50g butter

1 Tbsp golden Syrup

½ tsp baking soda

1 Tbsp boiling water

Makes 12 Cookies

Method

Step 1- Preheat the oven to 180˚C Bake . Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Step 2 - Mix together flour, sugar, coconut and rolled oats.

Step 3 - Melt butter and golden syrup. Dissolve baking soda in the boiling water and add butter and golden syrup. Stir butter mixture into the dry ingredients.

Step 4 - Place level tablespoonfuls of mixture onto cold greased trays and flatten with a fork. These don't spread as they bake so you can place them close together.

Step 5 - Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden. Leave on the tray for 5 minutes then place on a wire rack to cool.

This is the feedback from my stakeholder.
The Anzac biscuits tasted just like the ones my Granny used to make and she was a great cook. They were nice and crunchy and sweet without being too sugary. They went beautifully with a cup of tea and it was impossible to eat only one of them. They were baked to perfection neither under, nor over cooked!

This was the photo of our mise enplace.

Heat Transfer

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing science. Heat means moving heat from one place to another. Conductors of heat can pass heat from one place to another. Insulator of heat means it does not pass on heat and it keeps all of the heat. and example from conductor is a heater, body. And some example for insulator is an oven or a jacket. When I lit the teabag on fire it flew up in the air and it was cool this happend because of the little particles that heated the teabag and the heat makes the particles spread out so they are lighter and go up. This is what I done please leave a comment on my blog on what I could do better next time. Thank you.

United Party

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been working on political party I was working with Leo, Hamid, Seryebuth, Nevaeh, and we were practising our lines I was reading the first three I was nervous. Before all of the lessons we would all get to have a conversation about our politic party and then we would get into our groups and do the work it took quite a while to get them finished because not everyone in our group was there all of the time. but in the end every group went up and they got to read there policies I was nervous at fist but then when I read the first part I was happy. This is what we done please leave a comment on my blog on what I could do better next time. Thank you.

Do Now Week 9

Is learning about politics important in High School? I agree that learning about politics is important because if you ever wanted to be the president then you would want to know how to publicly or to crowds. The reason for this is because if you wanted to speak to crowds then you would want to know how to speak and not get nervous. Its like if I wanted to be a public speaker I would want to learn about politics just encase I become a speaker. This  is why I think that every High school student should learn about politics.

Do Now Week 9

Is being able to speak in public a important life skill? I agree that it is a good life skill because i you were to do a speak in a group of heaps of people you would feel good and confident. The reason for this is because you might be to president one day and you will be able to speak confident to the people around you and you won't feel scared. If I was to go upto a crowd of people then I would feel comfortable speaking in front of people. This is why I think that speak confidentially is a good life skill and then you could be really good and speak at bigger crowds.
