Orana Park

Hello my name is Jesse on Monday the 23 of September we went to Orana park we went to go see the meerkats and they we running around one of then were standing on the logs. After we had looked at the meerkats we went to go and look at the reptiles we went to go and look at the spider monkeys but they were still in there cage and then later on they came out and they had some grass to eat there were 4 females and then we had lunch we went to go and look at the tiger before we had lunch we sat near the kiwi and had lunch. After lunch we went to go and see gorilla's and the giraffe's when I fed the giraffe the giraffe ate the leaves of my branch there were no more leaves on my branch. My favorite thing at orana park was the spider monkeys because they were funny.

Scratch

Scratch it is a game where you have to make a cat do something you can make them do voices Sphero and scratch work the same because you can use block to make you cat move around and you can do that with the Sphero I prefer to do scratch because I know how to use it and I think it is better. And it is a programme were you can make animations games you can use the app to solve problems by. Sphero is a tiny robot that you can control with blocks and then you can make them move what direction you put them in.

PE Hurumanu

Hello for the last couple of week we have been doing PE with Mrs Simpson and Mrs Birtch we played bench ball and we done some warm ups we do them so we can be ready for the game we done drills they were 40 star jumps jogging and high knees. For bench ball we done year 7 vs 7 and the year 8 done the same thing as us and then we done year 8 vs year 7 we lost but we tried to beat them they were really hard to beat. I learned that one player should be guarding the other peoples goal and that if you pass the ball to you teammates you most likely to get one of your players onto the bench. After that we done math and it was kinda hard because we had to find out how much money we were going to need we done sneak up granny to I counted to work out the equations with my group and then we got the answer and they helped me answer some. I am a out stander because I can work successfully with the people in my team by passing the ball to them and I also know how my feelings affect other.

Gym sports

Today at gym sport we played multi sport with Mr Scott we played Soccer, Netball, Hockey, Basketball while we were doing multi sport the other people were doing gymnastics. At the end we lost but we didn't give up when we were losing but in the morning we were cleaning the garden we were getting the dirt moved and pulling out weeds. We also planted flowers and seeds we planted celery and broccoli and then we came back to the class and we started doing blogging. 

Ella West Visit

Today Ella West came to our school and then talked to us about her books she came to our school because some of the classes were reading her book then they made a blog post and posted it to the blog and sent it to Ella West. She has wrote some books called real life, Rain Fall, Night Vision and some others Al and Bh are reading night vision Ella West told us a tiny bit about Night Vision and she said something about a murderer. She is making a book called The Sound Of My Heart she does not want it out next year she wants it out the year after next year her first book was called Thieves.

Tane Mahuta

Today we done some more gardening even tho it was kind of raining but we still went out to got some planting. And then we had morning tea and after that it was period 3 and the people that go to gym sport went and then they went after we had come back we started painting rocks and then after we had finished our rocks we made a blog post. We were also moving stuff so we could have more space so we can make stuff.

Digital Tech

For the last 3 weeks we have been doing digital tech with Mr Carter and Mrs Tozer and Mr Richardson and we have been working on social things and and environmental things and today we had to do a blog on what we have been doing for this term. Then we are going to create some games so people can play them last week we were creating social issues and mine was about homelessness.
