Term 1 reflection

Hello my name is Jesse and I am from Hornby High School and we had to write about what we liked this term and I liked science because we got to do a lot of science experiments my favorite one was the crystals because we got to see how to make crystals.

My favorite part this term was tech because we got to make a car and a heart and now we are making chopping boards and we can use them because we are putting oil on them and then at home we can use them all of the year sevens are doing wood tech an the year eights are technology and then next term year sevens are doing cooking.

The most interesting thing I learned was how to play new games in PE with Mr Good Fellow we played long ball and also bench ball and we played another game today but I do not know what the game was called it was 7/8 Bh vs 7/8 Tz and I think we won but I am not sure.

The most challenging thing was doing running in PE we do a 100 challenge and for that we have to do 100 hundred runs with 3 buddies and we can go in twos and we get extra points for running with buddies.

Sometimes I showed commitment when we were doing PE and also sometimes showing commitment when we are in class and the teacher is talking to us.

I am looking forward to doing tech with a different teacher in term eight I think and having the same teacher.

Simple sentences

Today we done simple sentences with Mrs Birch and Mrs Hastie this is mine and the other people posted theirs on there blogs

She played the guitar loudly at the shop Happily waling around.

I finished mine and the other people done theirs with Mrs Hastie.

PE

Today for PE we done a game we done it with Mr Good Fellow we played playback today it was a fun game we were in teams we were in class teams so 78 BH vs 78 TZ and the other game was long ball which we got to choose our own teams. This some photos of what we played.

Hurumanu Music

Hello my name is Jesse today we are doing Hurumanu music with Mrs Hastie and Miss Birtch

What music? What types are there? There are Rap and also Pop music and others that I don't listen too.

Where can we find/hear/experience music? You can hear music on the radio YouTube and the edge the edge has a lot of music.

What type of music do you like to make and listen too? I like to listen to rap and I don't like to make music

What do you want to learn about/do in music Hurumanu? Try to make our own song with the whole class.

CIP

Today we did CIP and that means community impact projects. We had to make a sculpture and we made a kea. I did the wings and also the tail. We finished. We used cardboard and tape and hot glue guns. We also used paper. We were using leftover rubbish to make all of the sculptures.  we picked up the rubbish from around our school and Kyle park I was working with Mrs Hastie and Mr Whitefield but we did kiwi can first while other people were doing the head and the body.
