100 word challenge

Hello readers today we started doing the 100 word challenge it was about a grizzly bear and I thought the grizzly bear was looking for food because it was above the water and it was looking for fish and this is what I made.

The bear was trying to catch some fish because he was hungry because his family had no food so the grizzly bear went to go and catch some fish for his family. He caught a fish and then he went back to his family and then they were not hungry. After they ate they went as a family to catch some fish together and they took it home and they had food for the rest of the day. And then they went back the next day and got more food. They got salmon and they also are marmots and elk.

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing art and today was our last day and we started making a poster of the work we had done for the last couple of weeks and then after we had made that we had to make a blog post and the take a photo of what we made.
My favourite part was doing the water colour. I thought the most challenging part was doing the weaving because it was my second time doing it and the first time I done it with flax and then I forgot how to do it. I am most proud of my water colour because I learned something new and then when I am older I can teach someone else. My favourite style of poetry was the Diamante poem and then the haiku. I think when they do art again they should do this again. Please leave a comment on what I could do next time to make it better.

Wet Weather Day

Hello readers, today we started making a DLO about a Wet Weather Day. I was working with Alex and we were making a DLO because we were showing people what to do in a Wet Weather Day and this is what we made.
We were making these because it is the last week of school and they were going to go on the TV's in the learning commons.

Collage

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing art and for art we have been making collages for a collage you need to fill up the whole page for it to be a collage and the are meant to be no white spots and then when there's no white spots that means it is a collage and the we done some other task like water colour and that is about Contrast and tone this is a collage.

Benny

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing tasks about Benny they are two kids that like jumping off the jetty and then they knock a kid off the kayak and then they save him and get free ice cream and they leave and go eat it but one day they where going to do it again but Benny didn't want to because it looked like his cousin and then the other person pushed him of the jetty and the mother was saying words that Benny's mother had banned and then they heard sirens and they left they left there stuff at the beach

Benny

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been reading books for reading and drama I have been reading a book called Benny and he went to the beach for the holidays and they jumped off the jetty and then the other person would jump off and save the kid and they would get ice cream for the parents. 

The difference between Benny and his friend was one would jump off the jetty and the other person would save the kid.

Benny feels a bit jealous because the new house has security and other things that Benny doesn't have.

When Benny got pushed off the jetty the Mother was mad because her kid was on the kayak and it was dangerous and then she started swearing at Benny and the other kid she was saying words that Benny's Mother had banned.

I think the Author is trying to say even if your trying to get something just be careful because you don't know what they could do they could do what the Mother had said to Benny and the other kid.

Hello readers today I'm going to be telling you what we did last week for math. We did Volumes last week, In math, volume can be defined as the 3-dimensional space enclosed by a boundary or occupied by an object. Example, A cube. If you are using volume in math you must use a 3. M3 mm3 CM3. This means that you are using volume. You can calculate the volume by  multiplying all the numbers in the three dimensional shape.

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing stuff about contrast and texture today we started making something called water painting mine was not to good because it was my first time making one. First I started off by doing the blending part and then I smudged the painting in and then flicked the paint on the paper and then added salt to the paper to add bubbles.

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been making a Diamantic poem and then we had to put it on a poster and we had to make them on a poster first we had to do it on our book and then we had to do it on a Canva poster and this is what I made. It was about the Rakaia Gorge and a Taniwha and then we had started on a water colour.

Kahawai

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been reading book and I chose a book called Kahawai and it is about a kid and he grandmother and they are going on a boat to go and catch some fish and then they got a fish and then they put it back because it was too small.

Areta's personalty is going on a boat and fishing.

The story is placed on a beach and they are just about to go and get some fish.

They organized a day to go to the beach and catch some fish son they could have dinner.

She was happy because she had caught a fish and then they could eat.

I think the Author is trying to say be patient people you need to be patient to catch a fish.


They are going out on the beach or a river to catch some fish and then they get out and they catch a fish and then they let it go back because it was to small.

Radiation means polluted or unsafe and don't got in the water.

Drama

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing Drama and reading today we were doing Drama. For Drama we were reading a book called Benny and then we had to make something about Benny. After that we done a Ice berg and Ice berg is something that happend in the story and then we done a recount about Benny and the story the story was about two kids that were friends and then they done bombs of a jenny and then they would save the kid and get free ice cream and then there was one kid that was sitting on his kayak and he had just got balance and then Benny pushed his friend off and the Mother was mad and she started swearing she was saying the words that his Mother had Banned. Above the water the Mother was worried and scared and when he was below the water the Mother wanted a punishment but the Mother was happy that her kid was saved. Role on the was is a strategy that invites students to infer the meaning about the character and to visually map the relationship between characteristics. Hot seating is where people sit on a chair and they answer questions and they have to answer them without lying.

Tom and the Look Around book cover

Hello for the last couple of day we have been doing reading and drama and we have been choosing books to read I chose a book called Tom and the Look Around. Once we had done some questions about the book we had to chose a task to do and then we had to do the task my task was to make a book cover for the book and I chose one about the book because the mother had left the sea lion and the kids Mother had left.

Hello today we had to chose another short story to read and I chose to read a story called Tom and the Look Around it is about a kid that got left behind by his Mum so he went fishing and then he seen a sea lion and they became friends. Then they seen each other the next day and then his Mum called and said she was going to have a picnic with and then he seen the sea lion Mum and then dove away.

1.Tom was angry because his Mum had just left him behind and he had to stay with his          Grandad and he was mad because he had no internet or friends. 

2. Yes he handled his anger well because he went fishing and he caught a fish and then he seen a sea lion.

3. Once Tom had calmed down he was happy because he had seen a sea lion and then he went home and asked his Grandad and asked is he had ever seen a sea lion.

4. It is a similar story about the seal and Tom because Toms Mum had left and left Tom behind and the sea lion was left by its Mom.

Tapa Art

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been making Tapa art. First we needed to draw symbols about the creating of Tuna. And then we went over it with crayon then ink. Once the ink was dry we created contrast with charcoal. I didn't like that part because I got charcoal on my hands. I liked when we got to put ink on it because the colour was different. I drew the sun and water. If we were to do this again I would change what colour I did and do another one. 

Reading/Drama

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing freeze frames in Drama we have been learning about a book called Bok Choy and we had to describe the story a freeze frame is something that describes something. I was a sum and I had saved Jacob and then took him back to my hut and then his Mother came and got him from the hut and then they went back home and they were okay. Please leave a comment on something I could do better.

Bok Choy

Hello readers today we had to make a DLO about Bok Choy, we had to read a book and then we had to do some questions. I chose a task that I could do, my task was to create a new cover for the front of the book. I hope you enjoy. I chose to design my cover this way because we are reading a book called Bok Choy I chose to do it this was because A sum gave Bok Choy to the Mother that were buying Bok Choy.

The Present

At the start of the video the kid is playing a game and I think the kid is a gamer and that is his personalty and then when he gets a dog he feels better because the dog has no leg and he has no leg.

 His Mom brought a present and he opened it and he didn't like the present but then he seen that the dog had no leg and then he liked it he and then they went outside. 

The boy learned to be grateful and even if it's something you don't like.

It is important to be grateful for what you to make the person that gave it to you happy even if it is something you don't like.

Reading Bok Choy

Hello readers for the last couple of weeks we have been doing reading and we have been picking books to read one of the book were called Bok Choy and then we had to do some questions and these are the questions.

Jacobs personalty is wise helpful and kind.

Jacob ran off because William scoffed at him.

Jacob felt scared because he didn't know where he was or if he was okay.

The author feels like even though he doesn't know Jacob you should still cares about people.

If Ah Sum never saw Jacob in the river I think he would have died in the river.
